The beautiful Eltville Christmas Market enters its 36th edition in 2017. As in previous years, it will again take place on the large parking lot in the "Hof Bechtermünz", in the "Hof Bechtermünz" itself, in the "Langwerther Hof" and also in the small courtyard of the parish church.
On this area will then be about 80 market stalls, which will again offer a wide range of handicrafts that leave hardly a wish unfulfilled. The organizers, but also many visitors, are already looking forward to the participation of the twin towns Montrichard and Passignano, which sometimes take a difficult journey to offer their culinary delicacies.
The visitors can expect again due to the diversity of the offer a unique market in the historic ambience of the old town of Eltville.
Also on the 2nd Advent weekend, the hobby artists' market will also take place in the rooms of Eltville Castle, as well as an Advent market of the Tourist Information of the town of Eltville in the castle courtyard.
The opening on 09.12.2017 at 15.00 clock is musically accompanied by the "Eltviller Posaunenchor". In the evening, after the success of recent years, visitors can experience the performance of the mixed choir from Eltville "Stimmig". This will be around 18.00 o'clock. The Christmas market will end on this day around 20.00 o'clock.
On the Sunday of the market, the stalls already open at 12.00 o'clock. In particular, the little market visitors will have the opportunity to explore Eltville by carriage free of charge from 14:00 to 17:00.
More than 30 children from the ASB Eltville day care center will perform Christmas carols from about 15:15 in the Langwerther Hof. Surely, attracted by the heavenly sounds of the children, Santa Claus will arrive a short time later in the Langwerther Hof to distribute apples, mandarins and nuts to all the children again. Around 18.00 o'clock the Bigband of the grammar school Eltville with their excellent musical performances closes the supporting program.
