The Brezelfest takes place annually on the 2nd weekend in June in the historic village center of Bretzenheim. Over three days, the clubs offer culinary specialties and a rich variety of games for young and old, such as tree climbing and archery on the church square of St. George.
On two stages, bands, schools and clubs provide a varied program. This year there are again many new highlights such as a giant slide on Friday, which is already opened for the children from 3 pm.
At the Funzelabend on Friday evening is celebrated cozy in the courtyards and on the street. Here the clubs are challenged to step on the gas in the wheelbarrow race.
On Saturday, the Bretzenheimer then expect sovereign visitors: For the official opening of the
Festival with Mayor Michael Ebling and the pretzel sovereigns, many majesties from Mainz and the surrounding area are invited. On both stages bands will provide a great atmosphere in the evening.
On Sunday, a visit to the festival is worthwhile first thing in the morning: From 10 am, the Vereinsring welcomes its guests to the pretzel brunch with many delicacies. At 1:30 p.m., the sports talk on stage "An der Wied" is an attraction and, of course, many great prizes await at the family raffle in the afternoon.
A special feature is also the artists' market in and around the town hall and in the Rathausstraße. On Saturday and Sunday, about 40 exhibitors and exhibitors show there a wide range of arts and crafts.
