The Erfurtshäuser Easter Egg Market traditionally takes place on Palm Sunday weekend, the last weekend before Easter.

Knitted, embroidered, crocheted, with borders or fringes, scarves of various types are part of the Catholic costume of the Marburg region. Their design and colouring against the background of peasant life, the annual cycle and their significance for age and state of life are the subject of the special exhibition with a folkloristic focus. The references between the traditional Easter egg painting and the decorations on the local costume are also demonstrated.
