The Hochheim market has a tradition of over 500 years and has become increasingly popular in recent years. As one of Germany's largest fairs, the five-day autumn market on the first weekend in November after All Souls' Day attracts up to 600,000 visitors to the wine and champagne town every year.
The Hochheim market is both a fair and a public festival and offers a wide range of sales, events and attractive leisure activities for the whole family.
The offer is large: Krammarkt, trade and vehicle exhibition, fair tent, livestock market, amusement park with high-tech and family rides, marquee with daily live music and also again a large historical market part - invite to this year's Hochheim market.
At this year's ride highlight, which is presented in the middle of the event area, the opening ceremony will take place on market Friday punctually at 12.00 o'clock.
In total, around 700 market suppliers will again be represented on the 70.000 sqm large event area, among them about 400 stallholders, 70 food stalls, 60 wine, mulled wine, beer and other beverage stalls as well as a considerable number of showmen. Over
130 other traders will be showcasing their expertise in agricultural machinery, home and garden equipment, health and fitness items, household appliances and much more in a large exhibition marquee and outdoor exhibition area. Integrated into the outdoor area, visitors will find
the Dippegass, where vendors will present a wide selection of pottery, pans and miscellaneous household supplies.
At the livestock market area, in addition to the county horse show on Market Saturday and the cattle, sheep and goat breed show on Sunday, the large livestock market on Market Monday traditionally follows. Horses, ponies, donkeys, goats, sheep, pigs, rabbits and feathered fowl will come up for sale, delighting buyers or just
lookers alike. Once again, the Livestock Market Express - a "Bimmelbahn" - will run between the market and new livestock market areas, which has been another market attraction since last year. Two amusement areas at the front of the market area will again feature
modern and fast-paced ride highlights that promise breathtaking and spectacular rides. Of course, visitors will also once again be able to enjoy and experience the classic rides - such as the bumper car, the music express or the wave flyer as well as a variety of other children's rides, family rides and amusement rides. For families, this year's traditional market will be even more attractive, because on Market Tuesday is family day. At all rides as well as many gastronomic and confectionery stands, there will be special all-day family offers with Eintracht Frankfurt and RheinMain4Family.de.
The business division Festivals, Markets and Events of Hochheimer Wohnungsbau GmbH, as the organizer of the Hochheim market, has brought out a detailed market program, which will be available at many sales and catering stands.
The Hochheim winegrowers will have a rich selection of Hochheim wine and sparkling wine from a wide variety of sites and quality levels available at their wine stands, in particular, of course, the mulled wine that is part of the Hochheim market.
The large festival tent, which can accommodate over 2,500 guests, will host live music events every day. Until late at night, the Hausmann family guarantees a pure party atmosphere on weekends, especially for the young market visitors. The organizers also expect a full tent for the traditional market morning pint with keg beer tapping and brass music at its best on market Sunday.
After the last two market days, which are considered an insider tip among market visitors, this year's Hochheim market also ends with a grand final market fireworks display.
