(kus) For the fifth time, Frankfurt citizens as well as institutions will celebrate the Deutschherrnfest on Saturday, July 1, from 3 to 10 p.m. on Walther-von-Cronberg-Platz. The festival offers space for all kinds of activities and creativity.
Various live bands will accompany visitors through the day. A project gospel choir has been specially formed for the festival, inviting people to sing along. The restaurants, Cafés and bars at Walther-von-Cronberg-Platz round off the feel-good atmosphere with a wide range of drinks and treats.
From the baby crawl landscape from the Frankfurt Children's Office for the very young, to the water games at the fountain, to bull riding for the very old, it's all here. Even a fire engine from the Sachsenhausen fire brigade can be explored. You can get creative, for example, with batik, making plaster hands or at the stand "Children are artists". A premiere under the colonnades: a flea market by children for children. Just drop by from 3 p.m. without registration.
A guided tour through the quarter as well as several hotel tours of the Lindner Hotel with a walk on the roof of the Mainplaza offer exclusively for festival visitors an impressive insight and view into the quarter and its history.
The day will be concluded with an ecumenical evening blessing and a sea of candles before it is once again time to waltz around the fountain!
The Deutschherrnfest is supported by voluntary commitment. Organizers are residents of the Deutschherrnviertel, supported by the Protestant Dreikönigsgemeinde and the Catholic Deutschordenskirche
