Vernissage "Chromofonie" by Michael Apitz .On view are portraits of famous composers, from Mozart to Wagner, painted in abstracting, free form and color design, a painterly fusion of composer, music and painting. The colours and shapes of the works reflect the painter's personal feelings for the music in question. This kind of artistic translation of sound into color is what Michael Apitz calls "chromofon" - from the Greek "color-sounding". All portraits are painted in the same format (150 x 150 cm) with acrylic paints on canvas. The "chromophonic" paintings will be presented in different rooms of the "Tanzhaus West" with the corresponding music. A delightful experience for eyes and ears.
