Jürgen Heller and the Giant Ekko read from their Wiesbaden Discoverer book. The reading is particularly suitable for children aged 7 to 12, but equally exciting for adults. The idea is unusual. The giant Ekko, who according to legend created Wiesbaden's springs, sets out as a city guide to impart his knowledge to the children of the city. According to the motto: "The adventure starts right at your doorstep", you accompany the giant Ekko to selected places in the city. Since the giant will be there in person, you can also ask questions. Those who know particularly much about Wiesbaden will be rewarded by the giant with a great Wiesbaden book. The author and publisher Jürgen Heller has lived in Wiesbaden for 40 years. As a young boy in elementary school, he was already interested in local history. It was his favourite subject. Therefore it was obvious that he studied geography and politics after school. After his studies he was a teacher in Wiesbaden for many years and was involved in various geography books as a textbook author. Since 1985 he is author and publisher of books about Wiesbaden. His books are intended to impart knowledge and a love of discovery, especially among children, about Wiesbaden, his own hometown. This is the sixth reading to be held as part of the workshop readings "Every head ticks differently!" at Werkstatt 23.
