Art War is the story of young creative Egyptians trying to save their Arab Spring revolution with novel creation, house-sized graffiti, rebellious music, with art and enlightenment.

"Art War is serendipitous in its fatalistic precision. Marco Wilms holds the seismograph directly into the seething center of unrest. He demonstrates what until now seemed only abstractly comprehensible: In Egypt, all dissident groups are surrounded by enemies. The regime kills the demonstrators, the Muslim Brotherhood hunts down the artists, the military massacres the Muslim Brotherhood, the artists cheer the military. In the graffiti on the walls of the city, one can recognize the trauma of an entire generation." (Swantje Karich in the FAZ).

Art War. Marco Wilms, Egypt/ Germany 2014, 90 min, Ages 12+.
