Documentary about the Festival au Désert, which after 2012 could no longer take place in Mali, but was moved to alternate locations (first Burkina Faso, later even Berlin.). In spring 2017, a previously secret festival was to be attempted in Timbuktu, but was banned at the last minute by the Malian government after an attack and resulting security concerns. The film recalls 2012 - the last festival that could be in Mali.
