Under the patronage of Lord Mayor Peter Feldmann and Department of Culture and Science Ina Hartwig, the Gutleut Days will take place for the eighth time from Saturday, September 4, to Saturday, September 11. Under the motto "Experience the identity of the area", interested citizens can discover special features of the Gutleutviertel each day at an event in a different location.
The Gutleutviertel has undergone structural change over the last century. But it is only in the last 20 to 30 years, above all through the development of the Westhafen, that the district has changed decisively.
The Gutleutviertel initiative has made it its task to make the diversity of the district a digital and at the same time real experience at the Culture Days and gives a look behind the scenes at various events. The Department of Culture is sponsoring the Gutleuttage this year with 2000 euros.
A noncommittal, communal get-together of residents and visitors is the focus. Institutions show who they are.
Among the program items are a cozy evening at "Orange Beach" (05.09.(5.09., from 5 p.m.), a guided tour of the Landungsbrücken Theatre (5.09. from 5 p.m.), a lecture on the history of the Westhafen (7.09. from 6.30 p.m.), a guided tour of the Druckwasserwerk (6.09. from 4 p.m.) and a ventriloquist show at the Transnormal Travesty Museum (9.09. at 6 p.m.). A highlight is the Festival of Cultures on Wednesday, September 8, and the interactive walk "Ever walked through a movie?" in cooperation with the Historic City Walk of Frankfurt on Saturday, September 11.
The official opening will take place on Saturday, September 4, at Marina Westhafen. David Dilmaghani will open the Gutleut Days at 7pm. After a harbor tour at 8 p.m., the event will end around 9 p.m. with fireworks.
Please note: Registration is required for many of the events. In addition, 3G regulations apply at all times. Masks are also compulsory in enclosed spaces.
