At more than 68 stands, craftsmen, hawkers and traders will present their diverse medieval wares and provide insights into old craft techniques. Cloth merchants, silver and gold smiths, leather punchers, potters, spoon carvers, bow makers, candle makers, blacksmiths and many more will show their wares and their art. If you have dull knives and scissors in your household, you can go to a scissor sharpener. Even an armoury offers sword, shield and armour for the warrior. The emphasis is on the merchants covering a wide range of medieval wares with the aim of presenting them as authentically as possible.
Always plentiful is the selection of food and drink: while some inns cover the full spectrum of grilled, boiled and baked foods, other spezereyen await guests: grilled skewers, schupfnudeln, baked souls, cream pies and much more will drive away the stomach peyn.
For thirsty throats, various taverns have relief in store: The Oberurseler Apfelkelterei Stedten not only offers its natural cider, but also the Alt-Oberurseler Brauhaus has brewed a special Feyerey beer in good tradition. Other taverns offer mead, dark and light beers and berry wines, as well as non-alcoholic thirst quenchers, of course. Exquisite whiskeys and fruit brandies up to 25 years old are available at the Midgard Tavern. The very brave can indulge in the medieval kind of "wellness" at the Bader Michel and enjoy their cup of mead in a wooden bath tub with warm water in convivial company.
