An ominous prophecy, a fractured friendship, a doomed love - this is the stuff of which great dramas are made. In a nutshell: Gustavo loves Amelia, the wife of his best friend. A fortune teller predicts his death. And a masquerade ball becomes the setting for the grand finale.
While the characters rush swiftly toward disaster, the story offers them repeated points of reversal, they are presented with a choice of which path to take - greed or magnanimity, jealousy or trust, revenge or forgiveness. The Masked Ball of Life puts people in extreme situations and watches them dance -and when the mask falls.
