ABBA has everything that makes a band a cult: lots of fans, lots of haters, lots of catchy tunes (that even the haters can sing along to) and lots of cover versions. Tilo Nest (Burgtheater Wien), Hanno Friedrich (sat1 "Sechserpack") and Alexander Paeffgen (Pop-Akademie Mannheim) also interpret the Swedish überhits and approach the musical "world cultural heritage" from different angles of music history.
With voice and piano, they embark on a hilarious, outrageously irreverent odyssey through the Scandinavian quartet's oeuvre, complete with some hand-wringing surprises. Their flamenco, heavy metal and hip-hop renditions have been delighting international audiences for more than 15 years, proving that Benny and Björn weren't missing two women, but rather a third man.
