Abdelkarim, the trusted Moroccan, was born and raised in the Bronx of Bielefeld. Sounds like plenty of dynamite, but is probably the best that comedy and cabaret with a migration background currently have to offer. You too have probably heard a lot about the parallel world; today you finally get to know it. Abdelkarim tells authentic and self-deprecating stories from his life. He does this without any superficial gags, but he obviously enjoys brushing clichés against the grain. What happens when you voluntarily approach a policeman as a Moroccan? And what happens when you're a Moroccan with a full beard and visit an NPD booth? And how long can you actually chill at a stretch? A program between the Moroccan sun, the Bielefeld ghetto and German precision! His rapid rise on the comedy stages and in the renowned cabaret theatres brought him awards such as the Wooden Stuttgart Broom, the Jury Prize of the Wühlmäuse in Berlin and in 2015 the Bavarian Cabaret Prize. Since the beginning of 2013, Abdelkarim has hosted his own series of shows on EinsPlus, the "StandUpMigranten". He is a regular guest on almost all well-known cabaret and comedy shows on TV and radio, such as "Nuhr im Ersten", "Die Anstalt" on ZDF, "Pufpaffs Happy Hour" on 3sat. On the radio he can be heard regularly on SWR3 and 1LIVE. A life between "Ghetto and Germanen", as it could hardly be more comical - definitely watch!
