An adventure day for young and old!
At many stations, the domain can be experienced both handicraft-creative and culinary active and experienced, among other things, blacksmithing, pottery and woodworking or at the chocolate fountain. For exercise, there is a skills course, a pedal tractor race or the very popular straw climbing castle.
But a farm also includes animals that can be experienced up close: Watching chicks hatch, petting donkeys or riding in a horse-drawn carriage.
Culturally, the program is rounded off by music for children and adults. On the covered stage animates the children's songwriter Johannes Kleist from Cologne. Furthermore, there are surprises in the audience and in the fountain courtyard the duo Stelter/Neigel with acoustic songs from jazz and pop, as well as Intermezzo with lively classical music in the garden of the guest house.
For the physical well-being is provided in many places. Homegrown and artisan products will be available. The domain is known far beyond the borders of Wiesbaden for its first-class cakes, pies, baked goods and best Bioland meat and allows also on this Saturday the usual shopping opportunity in the bakery, butcher shop and in our farm shop.
For direct consumption of the products, for example, a grill is in operation, the café offers cake and fresh food from the kitchen is available in the marquee and the restaurant garden.
Driving:
For a stress-free arrival and departure, a free special bus is available. It runs hourly along ESWE line 28 and serves all stops between Platz der Deutschen Einheit, bus platform A (first departure from 10:30) and Domäne Mechtildshausen, via Hauptbahnhof.
