On August 24, 2019, it's that time again: the AGENDA 21 Sun Market presents the variety of topics of a sustainable lifestyle in a colorful and diverse way. The Local AGENDA 21 has been active for 20 years this year. The AGENDA Day is an integral part of this process to make citizens aware of the topics of sustainable engagement in One World, climate protection and responsibility. To this end, numerous stands will present themselves on Gutenbergplatz until 4 p.m.
The AGENDA 21 Sun Market will be opened at 11 a.m. by Lord Mayor Michael Ebling. The global sustainability goals (SDGs - Sustainable development goals) and topics such as renewable energies at your fingertips, environment and climate protection, healthy nutrition, social commitment and in addition children's activities and entertainment promise an interesting and varied day. All Mainzers are cordially invited.
Market of Opportunities
Once again this year, numerous associations, groups and initiatives will be present at the Market of Opportunities with a variety of offers, activities, games and information.
Stage program
A colorful and varied stage program rounds out the day. Entertainment will be provided by several school and youth groups who will present their musical skills. The Mombacher Turnverein will be there, as well as the TSV Schott. The highlight will be the Concert Band of the Frauenlob-Gymnasium "Fabulous League of Gentlemen". Here 25 pupils will inspire with their musical repertoire. The colourful and lively performance of "Flamenco Bailando" is a permanent fixture. "Drums of joy" once again inspires with African rhythms. Guarantor for relaxed and good mood is the "online acoustic lounge".
