A dramatic play between jealousy and passion, love and envy: Aida, daughter of the Ethiopian king Amonasro, lives as a slave at the court of the king of Egypt. She is filled with deep love for Radames, the Pharaoh's commander. But Amneris, the Pharaoh's daughter, is also in love with Radames. When war breaks out between Ethiopia and Egypt to free Aida from captivity, Radames hopes to marry the Aida he desires after the campaign against the Ethiopians. But things turn out differently.
