"Too avant-garde at the time, perfect for today" was the headline of the music press. For it was back in the early 80s that Marc Hollander, founder of the Belgian music project Aksak Maboul, and Véronique Vincent, singer of the then follow-up project Honeymoon Killers, wrote their mythical Ex-Futur album, combining elements of jazz, chanson, electro and world music. But it wasn't until 2014 that the time seemed right for this masterpiece of avant-garde electropop. The success and enthusiastic response to the release of their now more than third album proves the unusual combo from the Rock In Oppossition movement right and sends them to the live stages of this world for the first time after more than 30 years, strengthened by guest musicians Aquaserge, Jaakko Eino Kalevi and Laetitia Sadier.
