Like so many important gangs, the ALEX MOFA GANG was born on a smoky evening between table and bar. Returning home from their lives as sound engineers, tour managers, lighting technicians, backliners and merchers, longtime friends Tommy, Matze, Michi, Rotscher and Sascha formed the ALEX MOFA GANG.
Singer and lyricist Sascha had drawers full of songs. Demos that are the soundtrack to the story "Die Reise Zum Mittelmaß Der Erde", which is the literary frame and red thread for every song of the band. A decade full of loss and excess, hope and love, the growing up and failure of banalities in the life of protagonist Alex Mofa is set to music and developed piece by piece. Always with an eye for the essential, without losing detail. It quickly became clear to the guys that they all felt lifted not only musically but also lyrically, even found themselves in the story of Alex Mofa.
