In "The Secret of My Beauty", Alfons devotes himself philosophically to the profound questions of life: with journalistic meticulousness, he explores the relationship between man, nature and the ticket machines of the Deutsche Bahn. Above all, however, he tells the story of little Alfons, who is banished by his mother to a farm for two whole months. Luckily, he finds the old farmer Augustin there, with whom he can talk about the small and big questions of the universe.
