It doesn't happen too often that two legendary metal bassists team up and form a joint music project, but that's exactly what ANTHRAX bassist Frank Bello and MEGADEATH bassist David Ellefson did. Thus, the rock band Altitudes & Attitude was born in 2010, and the two musicians have spent the last four years writing and recording new songs to expand upon their 2014 debut EP with 10 new songs.
The band is set to release their new album GET IT OUT in January 2019. The records was produced by none other than Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Stone Sour, Steel Panther) and besides drummer Jeff Friedl (A Perfect Circle, Devo, Filter) there were also other terrific artists at work, such as. Ace Frehley and Gus G. Remaining true to the hard rock genre, the new album sounds like a dream session for "shred-guitar" fans.
The new songs especially reflect Bello's past and childhood. In his lyrics he packs anger as well as despair made by his own experiences in the past - the murder of his brother or how his father left the family when he was just 10 years old. Ups and downs as we all know them, pent up over years and then finally "let out" - there could hardly be a more appropriate album title. Brilliant melodies on rhythm guitar as well as Frank Bello's robust, poignant vocal delivery round it out musically.
