A space adventure by Thomas Fiedler (2017)
The countdown is on. Is everyone ready? The journey is on to the moon. In 1969, Neil Armstrong was the first to set foot on it and was followed by millions of people around the world via live broadcasts. What distances did the astronauts have to overcome? What technology was used to achieve this? What does it mean to telephone from the moon to earth? A musician and five actors immerse themselves in space technology and the sound of the 1960s and retrace the journey from launch control to the first steps on the moon on stage. The audience encounters rocket models, a simulation of the Big Bang, the Greek moon goddess Selene, the Lunar Module, Margret Hamilton, the woman who invented software engineering in the wake of the mission, and always the fascination with the moon.
