A new wave of entertainment spills into Germany from the autumn. For the first time in this country, the water show "Circo Aquatico", which has been celebrated for years, especially in Southern Europe, docks. More than 2.3 million viewers have already been enchanted by the wonders in and on the wet element. The wet and merry fun for the whole family promises a sparkling flood of fountains, fantasy and mythical creatures. At the centre of the action in the magnificent Aquatico tent is a lake with 100,000 litres of water. Amidst this huge fountain, Circo Aquatico's imaginative production bubbles with top-class artists and lovable water creatures on a high technical level. The fairytale-like story tells of good and evil, friendship and happiness. The "Shark Society" teaches no one to be afraid, because there are basically no live animals at Aquatico, but plenty of living mythical creatures in the guise of shimmering fish, cosy turtles or lovable seahorses. From October 1st to 23rd Circo Aquatico celebrates its German premiere in Frankfurt on the festival ground Ratsweg. The advance booking has started. Afterwards, the tour continues to Duisburg, Kiel and Bremen.
When water becomes an experience. Man has always dreamed of dancing with cute mermaids, gliding through the waters with cute seahorses or even becoming good friends with a cheeky shark. What might it be like at the bottom of the sea, if only one could understand the language of the swimming inhabitants? First a clumsy clown has to come along, lose his balance and submerge himself in the tide. And here, in the midst of millions of drops, begins an exciting adventure in the course of which he gets to know the inhabitants of the liquid element really well. Turtle, starfish, shark, crab, jellyfish, fish and the seahorses fluently involve the stranger in ever new experiences and escapades, at the happy end of which he gets a little happier and less snooty solid ground under his feet again.
Artists from around the world perform a fairy tale with water drops
The Circo Aquatico ensemble consists of about 30 artists from around the world. Their high art can be experienced here in, with and also above the water. Colorfully made up and imaginatively dressed, artists and comedians make up the motley aquatic family. Solo performances merge with the ambience and lovingly staged reprises to form a grand, shared story. In this fairy tale of water drops, Diabolo Girls from China, for example, send small colourful cones soaring to unimagined heights, hats fly through the air in Aquatico as do graceful acrobats. Artistry plays only one of several main roles in this sea of drops. The clowns, who play an important part, are funny and the animal characters, who are the true "red thread" through the entertaining programme, are hearty. In addition, the ballet dances, fountains are juggled.
Particularly shining amid all the fountains should be the special guests of the production. Yves & Ambra Nicols celebrate their "Golden Dreams" - such a form of cloth acrobatics has not existed until recently, as the pair scales the highest heights in the tent painted gold, performing incredible slow-motion tricks. Also in the double act, Alla Klyshta and Reydi Argote, as Duo Reyal, perform their thrilling dance on the Chinese pole, which is certainly no "rest pole" here.
Already 2.3 million spectators in Europe
Circo Aquatico - a thrilling experience for all children from 1 to 100! The production, one of the most spectacular and fabulous shows currently on the market, has already thrilled 2.3 million people in Italy, Spain, Greece, Portugal, France and Austria. Producers of this extraordinary, successful project are the Zoppis brothers from Italy. Corty, Vanny, Toni and Ivan Zoppis have had a remarkable international career as artists. From Europe to America to China and Japan, the four artists have gained not only applause, but also a lot of experience around the art form of circus. Since they founded their own company in 1995, they have profited from their collaboration with directors and well-known personalities from show business and their many years of experience.
Since then they have been producing innovative shows for different target groups, classic or modern, for young and old. In Italy and Spain, they guest with three different ensembles in parallel, performing in a tent or a permanent building. From time to time, bullrings also form the backdrop for a Zoppis program. "Circo Aquatico" was launched in Barcelona and developed into a class hit in Europe for the quartet. Meanwhile, this show is available in duplicate to visit all those locations that would also like to present the aquatic world. And that's not all. The Zoppis brothers also produce the "Circo de Nadal" (at Christmas), the "Circo de los Horreros", "Circo de Los Ninios" and programs in a circus building in Madrid. Also the amusement park "Rainbow Magic Land" in Rome shows a show of the Zoppis.
