With great vehemence, playful skill and a strong work ethic, Architects from the British seaside resort of Brighton have earned themselves a loyal international fan base within just a few years. Six albums, each with a new style, underline their exceptional qualities as brilliant musicians between metalcore, mathcore, post-hardcore and progressive metal. The sixth album "Lost Forever // Lost Together" was released in March 2015 and turned out to be their most successful work to date: In many countries, including Germany, it climbed into the Top 40 of the charts, in England even to number 16. For the first time, they also entered the US Billboard Charts. After a year-long world tour, the band began work on the upcoming album "All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us", which has just been released. Right after that the band will go on tour again and play seven shows in Germany between October 19th and November 2nd. The stops are Cologne, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Leipzig, Berlin and Munich. Brothers Tom and Dan Searle were still at school when they formed their first metalcore band Inharmonic in 2004. Tom took over lead guitar, Dan sat behind the drums. They quickly found suitable comrades-in-arms in bassist Alex Dean, guitarist Tim Hillier-Brook and frontman Matt Johnson and, despite their youth, made a name for themselves in the local scene as an exceptionally accomplished metalcore band. Temporarily, they also played local clubs under the name Counting The Days before settling on the name Architects in 2006 around the release of their debut "Nightmares." From the beginning, the guys impressed with overwhelming enthusiasm for playing. They toured constantly through small and bigger halls and gave the best at every concert. However, this became too much for their frontman Matt Johnson, which is why he was replaced by shouter Sam Carter before the recording of the second album. With the 2007 release of "Ruin", they made their international breakthrough in the genre of metalcore. Their extensive concert tours extended to all of Europe, followed by their first acclaimed US tour in 2008. Since then Architects have been working non-stop. With the albums "Hollow Crown" (2009), "The Here And Now" (2011) and "Daybreaker" (2012), their international success grew as steadily as their considerable instrumental skills. Their songwriting is complex and demanding, but at the same time they are able to create moments of collective involvement, where band and audience become one. In the course of their extensive world tour for the "Daybreaker" album, they produced the film documentary "One Hundred Days: The Story Of Architects Almost World Tour", which was financed entirely via crowdfunding and was released last autumn and is considered by experts to be an extremely intimate insight into the life of an ambitious band. For the sixth album "Lost Forever // Lost Together", which the band recorded with producer Henrik Udd in Gothenburg, internal band changes were on the agenda. During the work founding member Tim Hillier-Brook announced his departure, on the same day he was replaced by guitarist Josh Middleton (ex-Sylosis), who was replaced again by Adam Christianson at the beginning of 2016. Both guitarists gave the quintet fresh impulses, made the band sound even heavier and more uncompromising and animated them to bold rhythmic experiments, which give them a new level of complexity and progressiveness, especially in live concert. All aspects that were further elaborated on the recently released album "All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us". The album was created in Gothenburg once again under the direction of Henrik Udd and has been described in advance as "the heaviest and darkest piece of music to ever bear the Architects name."
