In 2016, there was a first appetizer at the "Musikszene Frankfurt" in the Stadtbücherei of what now - what lasts long, finally becomes good - appears as the first EP of the duo Aren & Chima under the title "Von nun an glücklich". Chima, asked at the time about the collaboration between the two Frankfurt boys with Armenian and Nigerian backgrounds respectively, which came as a surprise to more than a few, explained: "We kept running into each other and always got stuck on the same themes. It was about relationship dynamics, attitude, dreams and identity. At some point Aren approached me with the idea that he would like to make a German record in the vein of Simon & Garfunkel and that he could imagine me as a duo partner. I found the idea interesting. We were already on an amazingly similar line with our outlook on life anyway and so one thing led to another. The exciting offer for me in this duo format is the peace and quiet. I don't have to think about the German radio landscape and can consistently tune into emotion, deceleration and music in its purist form." The six episodes on "Von nun an glücklich" tell of lovingly embracing life's crises and accepting in the end that they are just part of a healthy biography. Happiness, according to Aren and Chima, is not a gift but above all a choice that everyone can make for themselves.
