In August 2018 Aretha Franklin, the Queen of Soul, left this world. What will remain of her are masterpieces of vocal artistry, style-setting and trend-setting original songs, and interpretations of pieces by other artists that became works of art in the first place because of her.
Respect, A Natural Woman, Think, Chain of Fools and many other songs by the legendary diva will be presented on this evening by three singers and a band that seem made for it. Ina Morgan appears in the region mainly as the front woman of Hot Stuff or ABBA Explosion. She also took part in tours of Udo Lindenberg and Chris Norman. Soul and blues lady Jessica Born possesses haunting vocal power paired with a subtlety that evokes goosebumps and ecstatic moments. Isabella Hof won the German Rock and Pop Award 2000, worked with Roger Hodgson (Supertramp) and John Davis (Milli Vanilli) and hosted with Mola Adebisi on Viva TV.
The ladies are accompanied by Andy Kirchner (guit.), Gernot Dechert (sax), Jörg Dewald (keys), Bernhard Kraft (b) and Martin Geiberger (dr), i.e. part of Aschaffenburg's musical nobility.
