This time, Berlin's Theater Reissverschluss comes to the Gallus Theater Frankfurt with Joachim Stargard's adaptation of William Shakespeare's "As You Like It".
In a world where violence, deceit and expulsion are the order of the day, Duke Frederick has cast his older brother and reigning ruler from the throne and chased him out into No Man's Land. And besides, who is this unknown Orlando who has just double-crossed Charles, the courtly wrestler who was considered invincible and highly regarded, to his own surprise? But alas, the newcomer has the wrong and unwanted patronymic. It's his bad luck, he can't help it. And so, look the other way if you value your life!
Where to? - I don't know. Into the endless thicket. To the torrents. Isn't the Ardennes forest, with its confusing zillions of trees and bushes, vast enough for you and your kind? No roof over your head? What does it matter. Everywhere the sun will eventually rise. The relentless in his merciless goodness, bless you!
