Félix Rossy (tp), Leandro Irarragorri (p), Calvin Lennig (b) and Josep Cordobés (dr): Asere Quartet is an international band formed in Barcelona in February 2019. Trumpeter Félix Rossy and drummer Josep Cordobés have invited pianist Leandro Irarragorri from Zurich and bassist Calvin Lennig from Cologne to tour Catalonia.
The combination of musicians is particularly inspiring. Rossy and Irarragorri seem to have a common harmonic language and constantly throw fresh ideas at each other. The delicate playing of Cordobés and the big sound of Lennig give the band a strong foundation, but above all an extremely lively and naturally breathing groove. These shimmering and dancing colours, but also the gloomy depths give the collectively led quartet a character all of its own. The four musicians relax, open their ears, and drift together in the flow of the moment and the music.
