The Eschenfest in Eschborn takes place every year in early summer. Quite traditionally, the popular Hessian city festival is opened by the acting mayor on Saturday. The organisation is entirely in the hands of the local associations, who set up their sales and information stands along Oberortstraße and on Eschenplatz. Furthermore the artists of the Werkstatt '93 show their work in the museum and offer workshops to the visitors. A leisurely stroll and rummage is best done at the Krammarkt. Here the traders sell ceramics, spices, silver jewellery, baked goods and sausages. In addition to various Eschborn companies and restaurateurs, the retailers will open their shops on the open Sunday. But also the children can look forward to great program points, such as the extra children's area with a puppet theater or a play mobile on the adventure playground. The city is organizing a free shuttle bus service between Eschborn and Niederhöchstadt. A special highlight is on Saturday evening but then the fireworks, which provides a great play of colors in the sky.
