The annual rite of passage for the newbies! AStA and Schlachthof celebrate a big party with new and old students. And of course with everyone else who feels like it. During the day there will be cramming, at the Grand Semester Opening Party social skills and dancing will be trained! That's why this year there will be a big all-styles mash-up party in the big Schlachthof Halle, where a lot of prominent bands from Marteria to K.I.Z to the Toten Hosen have already played. New-hits chase all-time smashers chase charters bangers chase divisional hits.
On the club floor in the Kesselhaus directly opposite the hall, DJ Amir - heart, head and soul of the Mainz bouq community - will be laying down his special mix of electro groovesampersand beats.
In the Box, the lounge in the Kesselhaus, another Mainz legend is on the decks: Psycho Jones plays the hits from 20 years of alternative, rock, indie rock and metal.
And everyone who bought a ticket for GSOP in advance can use it to visit the Irish <.x>Ampersand Gypsy Folk concert by the ESKIES from Dublin - and start the party already with this great live band!
