"After so many years, I returned to 'La Atlántida'. I never imagined that the mythical name of the bistro where the most beautiful moments of my youth took place would suddenly take on a personal dimension." The legend of Atlantis, according to which the mighty island sank into the sea due to a flood, serves choreographer Constanza Pelechá to explore the theme of memory: how do memories come about? How much do they influence our lives? Who do memories belong to - those we were then or those we are now? Constanza Pelechá Vela was born in Barcelona (Spain). After graduating in Humanities, she moved to Germany in 1998. Here she completed her dance studies and her translation studies, participated in several dance projects and founded her own dance studio in Frankfurt. Two years ago she presented her second solo work "Walden", inspired by the book of the US-American poet Henry David Thoreau (1917-1862), at the Gallus Theater Frankfurt. Now her third dance piece celebrates its premiere at the Galli Theater Frankfurt! Text source and further information about this event: http://www.gallustheater.de/2018/05/latlant.php
