A week before the start of the summer holidays already sniff the feeling of the big wide world? Times an exciting look behind the scenes and learn more about Frankfurt Airport? That's possible this weekend. Because on 24 and 25 June, Frankfurt Airport is opening its doors for "Aviation Day" and offering hands-on air traffic from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on an event area of more than 80,000 m².
Numerous attractions and a colorful supporting program promise you an eventful, exciting day.
Focus topics of the event are:
- labour market in aviation
- ecological improvements in aviation (pollution and noise reduction)
- alternative vehicle and propulsion technologies (e-mobility and fuel cells)
- alternative navigation techniques (GPS stand-alone approach procedures)
A unique aircraft exhibition will showcase over 30 exhibits from the world of aircraft, bringing together history and modernity for the first time in this form.
From the Super Constellation to the ultra-modern Airbus A380 and a pioneering fuel cell aircraft, there is much to marvel at and experience first-hand.
In the large event tent you will be welcomed among numerous other exhibitors:
- Lufthansa
- Condor

- Customs and the Federal Police with two dog squads
.Fraport AG and others with the airport fire brigade, visitor service, information on Terminal 3, the electric fleet, the innovative use of drones and much more
All companies will provide an insight into their exciting and multi-faceted field of activity and advise on jobs and training opportunities.
There is also an attractive stage program with lots of music, colorful performances and interesting technical discussions waiting for you. A wide range of food and drinks will provide refreshments in between.

The event area is easy to reach via the A5 exit Zeppelinheim in the direction of CargoCity Süd and then follow the signs. If you come by public transport, you have the possibility to use a free shuttle service, which runs in regular intervals from the bus parking lot P36. This is within walking distance of Terminal 1
