Yes, B-Tight is back - and this time everything is a bit different. Bored with a rap scene that indulges in endless copies of the copy of the copy, he goes for a sound all his own with "Aggro Swing." In doing so, he doesn't go back to his own musical roots, as he has with his last three albums. Playstation beats, four-track flavor, the good old underground style - that he can do it, he has already proven enough. The #1 chart placement of "A.i.d.S. Royal" says it all. Been there, done that.
Something new had to be done. For his new album, Bobby drew inspiration from an era a little further back in time - yet with some parallels to today. In the Golden 20s Berlin was considered a wicked, excessive party metropolis, more exciting than Paris, more dangerous than New York, cooler than London. And that's exactly the energy the Berliner captures with "Aggro Swing". Let's get this straight: It's still a rap album through and through. But it stands out from the grey mass of other rap albums in that it has a completely unique sound picture to offer. B-Tight produced all the beats himself. Classic hip hop drums meet trumpets, trombones and double bass sounds, not sampled, but all recorded by himself. The result is an album that leads the listener into a dark, smoky back room, where B-Tight, with a fine side parting and a perfectly fitting bow tie, asks the listener to "Aggro Swing" with a broad grin. Don't be shy, ladies, it's time to shake a leg, and shake it hard! And the gentlemen: Please shake off all your worries, like the last drop when pissing. After all, we didn't come here to think, but to have fun.
