In "Bakchen's Dance - a Choreographic Dialogue" girls and young women who have fled and grown up in Germany deal with images of women and the associated rituals. Through which gestures, actions, ways of staging do rituals emerge that create an image of femininity? What magic and emancipatory power can be found in historical rituals of femininity? How can ritualized images of the body be broken up and changed?
Together with the accompanying artists Mareike Buchmann and Hannah Dewor, personal, cultural, body-related, religious, own and foreign rituals will be collected, shared and danced-performatively processed. The concluding choreographic dialogue provides insights into this exploration.
With: Refugees and girls and young women who have grown up here
Direction: Hannah Dewor, Mareike Buchmann
