Comedy based on the film of the same name by Éric Toledano and Olivier Nakache.
The stage adaptation of the hit film "Commonly Best Friends" tells the true story of a special friendship under unusual circumstances. Philippe is the descendant of a noble French family and a successful manager of a champagne company. However, since a paragliding accident, he has been paraplegic from the neck down and requires round-the-clock care. When the position of caregiver is filled, the unemployed ex-convict Driss also shows up for the interview.
Driss needs a rejection for the employment office, complete with signature, in order to continue receiving unemployment benefits. However, his brash behavior gets him the exact opposite: Philippe hires Driss as a nurse. With his uncouth, impertinent manner, Driss differs not only from the trained nursing staff, but also from Philippe's entire living environment.
While Driss learns to master his new duties, Philippe seems to take well to his new caregiver's blunt, authentic manner. A bond of trust develops that soon becomes friendship.
While Driss helps Philippe find new vitality and joie de vivre with his unselfconsciousness, Driss benefits from Philippe's subtlety and life experience. Thus they become an equally inseparable and unequal team that supports and complements each other.
A story that pokes fun at the hurdles of everyday life and the differences of milieus with humor.
