Hopefully the weather will play along: In the beautiful courtyard of the FABRIK in Sachsenhausen, the BÄNDI quartet is a guest today and brings Finnish tango to Frankfurt. "Rousing, charming and a little melancholic", is how the FAZ called this very own homage to Finnish tango, with which the ensemble won the creole World Music Prize Hesse.
Bändi has been thrilling audiences for the past 15 years by dressing the wonderfully sad catchy tunes of Finnish tango from the 1930s to the 1960s in a new garment and mixing the tango most skilfully with bossa, rumba, jazz and country elements.Their new CD "BÄNDI - Unikuva" premiered at the Fabrik and was awarded the German Rock and Pop Prize as "Best World Music Album 2020".
Corona-conditioned in the Fabrik in quartet line-up with Kristina Debelius (voc, p), Tobias Frisch (voc, viola), Martin Lejeune (pedal-steel-guitar), Thomas salzmann (dr, perc).
The Open Air Corona Rules: Under current AHA rules, the factory courtyard will seat 100 guests, and the basement will seat about 40 guests. In the event of rainy weather, the open-air program will be moved to the basement. Therefore, two price categories are offered especially for these events:
Guarantee ticket: 25 € is valid even if a change of venue is required.
Out-Door-Ticket: 20 € will be refunded in case of rainy weather.
