She observes her environment and her everyday life meticulously, comes across interesting details and processes that make her wonder. Searches for "groups of words in the alphabet soup" or for happiness, together with a "search party in the bog".
What may sound naïve at first hearing is her love of simplicity. She believes she can solve complex mysteries in simple, tangible situations. Simple things catch her eye because she sees an interesting and relevant beauty in them. BALBINA feels her way into expensive china that threatens to break in the dishwasher or observes fireflies with a fever. She uses her sentences to paint a picture of the world that seems difficult to recognize in everyday life and finds methods to discover every facet: she "sticks tape on her eyeglass lenses and sees life like Monet". Her reality merges closely with her own sensibility and imagination. Also because she fundamentally questions the definition of reality.
