Summer Gala Ballet School Star Ballet
Classical ballet is an art that invites you to dream like no other. What can be expressed beyond the beautiful images with classical dance, tell the students of the ballet school Star Ballet from Mainz Gonsenheim in a lively program across all ages and performance levels.
The professional classes show famous solo variations and choreographies of ballet history on point. Alternating between them are enchanting ensemble scenes by the younger students and energetic character dances by the older students. Included are the winners of national and international competitions, who are being prepared for a future career at Star Ballet and are now introducing themselves to their home audiences before taking to the stages of the world.
Artistic Director is Igor Mamonov (National Opera Kiev and Staatstheater Mainz under Renée Peglisaco and Martin Schläpfer). From the Dutch dancer and choreographer Regina van Berkel (engaged in Frankfurt am Main, The Hague and Tokyo among others) choreographies for the professional classes can be seen. The Star Ballet is directed by Irina Starostina (National Opera Kiev and Staatstheater Mainz under Renée Pegliasco).
