Batmobile were formed in 1983 in Holland. After playing covers of Elvis Presley, Johnny Burnette and Gene Vincent for a few months, Jeroen Haamers (vocals/guitar), Johnny Zuidhof (drums) and Eric Haamers (double bass) decided to write and record their own songs. So in 1985 the first Batmobile album with 7 tracks was recorded, which immediately attracted international attention. Batmobile was the first non-British band to headline international festivals. The band spent the next 15 years touring all over the world, including frequent appearances at the legendary Klubfoot in London. Along the way, the band released several albums that never sounded the same. The guys hate to repeat themselves. They managed to cover the whole spectrum of rock'n'roll over the years. Always new, always interesting, always Batmobile. Never boring! Legendary are their Jukebox Tour concerts in the late 90's where the audience was allowed to decide which song to play. At the beginning of the new millennium the band took a creative break of three years. After that, they decided to play again and delight audiences with their sweaty concerts all over the world.
