The Darmstadt Poetry Battle is one of the most legendary poetry slams in Germany. Since 2001, the country's most accomplished stage poets have been meeting in the Carree to duel with lyrical texts in a unique atmosphere.
But it's time for more! Lights on for hot-off-the-press lyrics, outrageous voices, a slam by the New Kids on the Block and future stars of the scene at Darmstadt's first U20 slam! In the bar of the former Centralstation power station they shine: Poets under power, with a zest for new things and their hearts on their tongues, with unused performances and their own view of the world. When prose meets spoken word, personal stories meet the second biggest questions in life, stage fright becomes festive lighting for highlight moments. The slam will be hosted by Finn Holitzka, Darmstadt slam poet and U20 Hessen Champion 2016, with special guest Tabea Farnbacher.
