The "pure" blues full of influences of rhythm'n'blues, swing and soul is the passion and profession of B.B. & The Blues Shacks. Hardly any European blues band has gained more international recognition, even in the USA, the motherland of the blues.
Whoever has experienced the band around brothers Michael and Andreas Arlt at one of their more than 4000 concerts knows that blues is not a question of skin colour or country of origin, but of feeling and skill. It will not be an evening for rock fans, it will be an evening of blues that stays true to its roots without copying role models. It will be a concert with one of the best blues guitarists in Europe. But the blues harp will take center stage at the Palmengarten in 2019.
Michael Arlt, has long emerged from the shadow of all role models as a singer and harp player. On this night, he shares the role of frontman with Boston native Keith Dunn. American Keith Dunn, who works as a music producer and now gives workshops in the Netherlands, shared the stage in his career with idols like Jimmy Rogers and Big Mama Thornton.
Special guest Linda Krieg from Frankfurt completes the trio of harp players/singers. She has established herself in the Frankfurt scene during many performances with local blues musicians and has made a name for herself throughout Germany with her band Miss Zippy & The Blues Wail.
