On Thursday, 23 September, the seventh action week starts on the Main. Clubs in the city districts and the independent scene, for example in Hafenpark, are calling for participation.
Nearly 200 decentralized offers, from badminton to line dancing to parkour, clubs and other organizations are providing free of charge for the "European Week of Sport". Day-care children and schoolchildren collect plus points by walking. Employees can get fitness tips online. For carers, there are instructions on how to get the older generation moving. Whether for children, women, senior citizens or families - tailor-made offers are made for everyone. The free scene presents itself in the harbour park with different sports. On September 25, there will be the 9th FamilySportFest in the Fabriksporthalle Fechenheim and a Dance Night by the German Gymnastics Association and the TG Bornheim, which can also be followed on the Internet. In addition, there will be a discussion with experts on the sports development of the future on Radio Frankfurt. The event concept is adapted to the Corona rules and has been tested since 2020.
The European Week is a great journey of discovery: Around 200 offers from 75 organisers are to be discovered over the next eight days, with permanent offers and one-day highlights.
