The Johann Strauss Orchestra was founded by Herbert Siebert and is composed of outstanding musicians from renowned German orchestras. There are, on the one hand, members of the opera orchestras of Wiesbaden, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Mainz, Saarbrücken, Cologne and, on the other, musicians from the radio symphony orchestras of the Hessischer Rundfunk Frankfurt, the Norddeutscher Rundfunk Hamburg, the Westdeutscher Rundfunk Cologne, the Bayerischer Rundfunk Munich and the SWR, among others. .The orchestra's namesake, JOHANN STRAUSS and the Strauss dynasty are at the heart of the concerts and musical activities, and are at the same time synonymous with lively concerts featuring works of all Viennese music, including FRANZ LEHAR, FRANZ VON SUPPÉ, CARL MICHAEL ZIEHRER, as well as French operetta and its greatest exponent, JAQUES OFFENBACH. To promote young musical talent, the Johann Strauss Orchestra is holding a benefit concert:

Program:
Anna Mehlin (cello)
J. Haydn: Cello Concerto in D major
Beethoven Cycle:
L.v. Beethoven: Symphony no. 1 D major
