Exactly how long Berger Market has been around is not really known. Records go back to the 17th century, though it can be assumed that what was once a summer and livestock market is quite a few years older. But one thing is quite clear: the Berger Markt is still one of Frankfurt's largest and most popular district festivals. Combined with the Stadtschreiberfest (01.09.2017, from 7pm) for over 30 years, the Berger Markt is sure to enjoy great popularity again this year. Traditional actions such as the coronation of the new cider queen (02.09.) or the Berger animal show (05.09.) go here with modern rides, music events or the big closing fireworks.
