Everything gets less as you get older, only the spaces between your teeth get bigger. On the other hand, you're glad you still have interdental spaces at all! Bernd Gieseking knows what he's talking about, because he's past fifty. Wittily and with a lot of profound humour he reports on the wishes, dreams and goals of the men of his generation. To discover the only real disadvantage: not being able to mark his age on the lottery ticket. Highly funny, even for women!
The cabaret artist and author Bernd Gieseking has been on stage for over twenty years. He writes columns for the "truth"page of the "taz", children's radio plays for the WDR radio station as well as books - and those preferably about Finland: "Finne Dich Selbst!" and "The Curious Finland Book". In his latest collection of stories, "Feeling Thirty - A Book of Hope for Men in their Fifties", he sets out to meet a very different crowd: the over-50s.
