Opera and opera drama On this special evening, Papageno Music Theatre presents famous arias, duets and scenes from Puccini's most beautiful operas in the first part with many vocal soloists.
In the second part, Papageno Ensemble presents the comedy "Gianni Schicchi" from Puccini's tryptichon as an opera drama. With his own creation, theater director Hans-Dieter Maienschein created a platform to let actors and opera singers interpret the material of classical operas together in a very unique form in the evening program.
1st part: concert Chamber singer June Card leads through the first part of the evening, which is themed "Best of Puccini". She presents young talented singers with the most beautiful arias, duets and scenes from famous operas by Giacomo Puccini. With Fabienne Grüning, Anja Stader (soprano) and Tyrone Chambers (tenor).
2. Part: Gianni Schicchi - The Rascal from Florence A musically grotesque picaresque comedy with music by Giacomo Puccini Buoso Donati is dead, died in the presence of all his relatives.
The rumour that he has bequeathed his estate to a convent leads the heirs to search for the will, which is then found, confirming their fears. In desperation, they bring in the famously skilled Gianni Schicchi to solve their problem.
The shrewd peasant here triumphs over an entire greedy family clan to the audience's delight, depriving them of their inheritance by double-crossing them. With Anja Stader, Fabienne Grüning (soprano), Erich P-Bro Larsen (tenor) as well as Sven Marko Schmidt, Renate Maienschein, Natalie Raggi, Lars Bürger and Katharina Dietz. The role of Gianni Schicchi will be played by theatre director Hans-Dieter Maienschein.
