When Meghan Trainor euphorically belts out her megahit "I'm all about that bass," it should be added: and the guitar! Because both the bass and the guitar will be the focus of our festival Bingen swings from 22 to 24 June 2018. Sometimes they come along groovy-funky, sometimes concertante and sensitive, sometimes in a massive large formation, sometimes as a filigree duo - no wonder, there is incredible variety in the instruments!
On festival Friday, bundle of energy Nina Attal will make the audience cheer after only 3 chords. Also the formation Fazer and Soul D.Vision will provide the best festival atmosphere.
The Jazzkantine will heat up with hip-hop on festival Saturday. Guitarist and big band leader Monika Roscher will make a splash, as will Youtube star Kinga Glyk on bass. True to our motto, other guitar masters will show how versatile the instrument is: Diknu Schneeberger presents Gypsy Swing, Tobias Hoffmann demonstrates that there are no musical boundaries.
On Sunday, the band Café del Mundo takes the audience into the world of flamenco, while Marina & The Kats bring the New York ballrooms of the last century to Bingen.
