11 days Winzerfest - no other town or municipality on the Rhine celebrates its wine for so long and has done so for 60 years now. Perhaps also because Bingen is located simultaneously on four wine-growing regions (Rheinhessen, Nahe, Mittelrhein and Rheingau) and you need enough time to taste the wines, compare and find your favorite.
Because Bingen is so connected to wine, there are 3 wine majesties here: Prinzess Schwätzerchen with her wine princesses, who are solemnly enthroned every two years on the first day of the Winzerfest.
The Winzerfest wine tasting is without a doubt one of the highlights of the Winzerfest. Other highlights are the Winzerfest parade with floats and groups as well as the bridge festival, which with fireworks and illumination, puts the Nahe in the spotlight.
