When the young biogeneticist Eitan falls in love with the doctoral student Wahida, the sky is - how could it be otherwise - full of violins. But when he tries to introduce Wahida to his Jewish parents, the battle lines harden - Wahida is Arab. Following in the footsteps of his family, the young couple travels to Israel, where Eitan wrests a well-kept family secret from his grandmother and Wahida confesses her long-denied Arab identity. Not enough uncertainties, a car bomb finally destroys any certainty about religion, culture and identity.
