Blackberry Smoke enjoy a reputation as the best live band in their profession and have now announced their return to German concert stages for October 2018. Accompanying the release of their new album "Find A Light" (VÖ: 6.4.18 Earache Records/ADA-Warner Music), the country rockers from Atlanta will perform four concerts in Germany.
The quintet's sixth studio album features 13 songs, all written (or co-written) by singer/guitarist Charlie Starr. In addition to Starr and bandmates Richard Turner (bass/vox), Brit Turner (drums), Paul Jackson (guitar/vox) and Brandon Still (keyboards), there are also some special guests on the album this time around, including Robert Randolph (I'll Keep Ramblin'), Amanda Shires (Let Me Down Easy) and The Wood Brothers (Mother Mountain).
On "Find A Light," Starr says: "The album is like a melting pot and showed a wide range of sounds and emotions. We've never been so inspired and versatile until now."As usual, they'll spend most of the coming months on tour (in years past, the musicians played as many as 250 shows a year).
"Find A Light" is the follow-up to the 2016 album "Like An Arrow", which charted at #8 on the UK charts, #12 on the US Billboard charts and #31 on the German charts.
In addition to their work as musicians, Blackberry Smoke remain very active with various charities and have donated approximately $200,000 to children's cancer research to date.
